There may be some things that I’m missing. They rolled those items into tuition based on parent survey. It’s nice that we don’t have to keep paying for things in addition to tuition. I’ve visited St. Anne’s, St. Pius, Friends, Woodstream, and Grace. HT is overall good school, classes are small, and students are happy. We’ve also met some great families. No place is perfect, but we have no regrets about sending our child there.

Thank you for the feedback. I applied for the discovery program. What grade is your child in and how long have they been attending? I really liked what I saw. I am hoping my son is accepted.

Our child is in 3rd, started in 1st grade.

Awesome. They said they keep the classes pretty small.

Soooo, tuition went up $300. Big deal. The $1000 registration fee is applied to the tuition amount. OP is someone with no connection to the school and obviously has no idea of the quality of education offered. I pulled my kid from a $36k private after 3 years. The quality of education she receives at HT is comparable, and better in many respects. My kid has 12 kids in her class. If you're looking for something better than that, go homeschool your kids. Others, please go visit HT for yourself. The administration does a great job with the resources at its disposal. And the kids LOVE IT!

PP here... And even if there is an increase of $1k, try going to a DC private and see those tuition hikes! Good luck!

The $1,000 is NOT applied to tuition. It is the registration fee AND separate. Go to their website. Reading is fudnemental.

The registration fee of $1,000 is. It applied to tuition. I just had a personal tour last week. It is in addition to. The $500 endowment fee is due in June as is also not applied to tuition. Wasn’t a deal breaker for us.

I was trying to say *is NOT* applied to tuition

The poster who said regustrationfee is not applied to tuition is correct. I’m a current parent who has a 1st grader who started kindergarten last year. The registration fee was $800 last year. That fee is due when you sign your contract. The $500 is due by June.

It clearly gives tuition amount and says it does not include registration fee. Still worth it in my opinion.

You pulled your child from a private that cost $36k? I guess you’re so rich you didn’t notice your registration fee wasn’t applied to your tuition! #Troll Post

Yes I pulled my child from a DC private after 3 years in attendance. Not rich, just smart. Smart enough to see that what is being offered at HT is comparable in many respects, and closer to home. How about you look for another school without trolling ours. Your kid isn't going to the school, okay fine. You're not coming, great! Good for you. But you're hardly in a position to say what a school isn't worth without more data. Go troll another school.

I went to the open house today and I was impressed! I’m applying for my kindergartener and my 3 year old. I know there is an order of preference so I just hope there are spots in each grade for my kiddos. They said only 16 3 year old spots and 21 spots per kindergarten. However there are two k-4 classes with 16 each so that means 32 of the 42 spots are already gone. Only 10 new students admitted for kindergarten.

Are there carpools or private transportation options for parents in South PG? We would consider but transportation would be our biggest hurdle. Though the commute would be around 30 mins I would compare it to if we had to travel to a NW DC private.

There are families who come from Waldorf, Brandywine, and Upper Marlboro. The administrators could probably connect you with some of those families.

I commute from Upper Marlboro bear Clinton and it’s 25 minutes for me

The classes are small at Holy Trinity, which we really appreciate. It really makes a difference.
