| Anyone watch this? Worth it? Urban fantasy is my guilty pleasure reading and the books were mildly enjoyable but not great. |
| I hadn’t heard about this! I thought the books started out promising and were pretty decent. |
Same. I found the books a bit trite but certainly engaging and creative. Where is the show? |
| Oh, and OP I adore urban fantasy, especially London. These books were more historical fictiony fantasy. |
| Oh, I really liked the books. I've never heard of the channels it's on though, Sundance Now and Shudder? |
| Loved it! Got it through amc prime via Comcast |
It is WONDERFUL. I loved the books, but this series goes beyond. It is romantic and very English and gets the vampires right. So good. |
You can get either streaming through Amazon Prime for $5.99/month with 7 day free trial - so binge and then cancel. |
| Loved the books! Didn't know this was out! |

I liked the first book, but thought the other books were weaker. The over-the-top relationship between the two main characters got annoying.
Still, I'd give it a try. |
| Anyone watching this? It popped up as a suggestion for me on Prime and I started it. I'm interested, but want to know if it's worth it to invest the time. |
| It looks like it's free on Prime until Jan 31. |
| I liked it decently well, mainly because Matthew Goode is amazing in the lead role. |
| I didn't really like the book, but the TV show is fine to put on in the background. They tone down some of the ridiculous. |
As a pp said, the books were trite and pretty weak. The show is just ok. Some of the acting is painful. Casting is decent. Midnight Mayor is great reading, as are the Peter grant books. Wish they’d make those into a show. |
