Love The Good Place except...

I Love The Good Place. My absolute favorite show on. But I'm just not feeling the Eleanor and Chidi relationship. Maybe it's because i still see Kristen Bell as Veronica and she can only be with Logan. But I don't think so. What am I not getting about that relationship?

Totally agree. They actors have no chemistry. But the amazingness of the show makes up for it.

I wonder if we (the audience) are not supposed to be that invested in that relationship since its presented in fits and spurts - I agree though - no chemistry but love love love this show

I agree, but it's actually pretty rare to see on-screen couples with good chemistry, so I'll let it slide.

I love the Eleanor/Chidi scenes. Not sure I buy the romance, but I love their relationship.

I agree the relationship feels forced, like fulfilling a network TV show requirement. The Janet-Jason-Tahani triangle also feels forced, but the absurdity makes for good comedy...especially with Derek.

I do think both Chidi and Eleanor had chemistry with Simone and I have a hunch that she is going to be one of the 4 new humans.

I like the relationship in theory but I think that there have been too many 'reboots' for it to feel anything but forced at this point. I like the idea of finding love in the afterlife though.

I don’t think so. I listen to the podcast and everyone that comes on talks about this great love/chemistry between them. I see the friendship and like how its grown. But the romance is distracting.

I love and feel the chemistry between Janet and Jason. I like Tahani, but she hasn’t really sparked with anyone. And I agree with PP, Simone was great and had chemistry with both Chidi and Eleanor. Derek is annoying. But I find that whatever that actor does, I find annoying.

But still the best show!

Good point. I am not feeling too much chemistry between those two, but do love both characters so I can go with it.

Oh I would love to see Simone back!

I think we haven’t seen good Eleanor Chidi chemistry because the show has to go-go-go for the interest of the audience, so they don’t have a chance to develop the relationship slowly like in other shows. The one flashback of Chidi and Eleanor snuggling after sex in the medium place, I saw the chemistry.

Btw I’m getting some hilarious autocorrects with Chidi!
