Stocking the cupboards in the event of a pandemic in the USA

I have stocked up on only 4 things: tp, Kleenex, laundry detergent and bleach. If things start going south, liquor will be my next buy.

Our neighbors have lived abroad for the last 15 years or so, and they rarely rent out their house. Do you think it’s OK for us to use their back yard for crops and/or chickens?

Don’t you guys ever lose power? Once every couple of months the power goes out and I end up dumping out half my fridge. Now I try not to do huge shopping trips of perishables.

We go through a lot of milk in my house. We would miss it.

I got powdered milk. I wouldn’t say it tastes completely like the real thing, but yes, it will do in a pinch. Tastes better in recipes than drinking, in my opinion.

Pan fry slices of spam but then add rice and eggs. Yummy! I love going to Hawaii and going to McDonald's and buying spam and eggs for breakfast. We bought a ton of spam and rice and beans at Costco
