Probably. Add that to the fact that she's honestly just not that great. Exhibit A her breaking down and crying last week over her dating life, even though she brought up the subject to Kane and then couldn't take what people were telling her.

Kane used to be good at radio because he was the young married guy with kids who could play the Joe Everyman family guy. Not anymore. He will be out within the year.

RE: Sarah - 107.3 hasn't had a successful morning show in nearly two decades. You can't blame Sarah for that.

+1 regarding Sarah and 107.3. After listening to their account of what happened at 107.3, it's clear that the station had no clear direction and was crazy. It is just sad that they did all of that experimentation at Sarah, Samy, and Mel's expense.

+1 regarding the change in Kane. Fake, real, whatever, I just want to be entertained. The show has changed so much that even if I wanted to listen I couldn't. Maybe I'm getting closer to being out of their target demographic.

I think the target demographic changed rather than the long-time listeners. The show used to be smarter rather than just trying to appeal to the lowest common denominator. They used to have discussions about interesting and current topics rather than talk about "weiner" pics. With each new market, the show's content seems to sink lower and lower to where it isn't really that entertaining.

Not true. Kane was good at his job when the original Kane show was airing with Samy, Sarah, and Erick. Chemistry is everything. Once you see IJ doesn't talk to Danni anymore, and Kane purposely ignores Rose, everything seems off as the show struggles to keep listeners.

You can't blame Sarah for the demise of STM1073. They had decent ranking, but the station itself decided to go an entirely different direction. They didn't want to cater to young people anymore.

I'm not saying that they are, what I'm saying is that people should stop focusing on those being so fake, because there a tons of other morning shows who do those same fake bits, it's nothing new. And yes, it's absolutely ridiculous that it seems that almost every story they tell now on the show is either embellished or completely made up, but honestly there are tons of things on morning shows like this that are fake, it's all a matter of whether listeners find out about it. I mean hell, the morning show I listen to has a guy on there whose "character" is the jock that's constantly banging chicks and going out every weekend, but in real life, it's been found out that he actually has a very long term girlfriend that nobody talks about. At the end of the day, like I said, it's morning fluff radio, and it's pretty typical for morning shows like his. If you want serious, straightforward radio, you're not going to get it from TKS, and everyone should know that at this point.

I can agree. Listen to an old podcast when Kane, Sarah and Samy were clicking on all cylinders in the prime of the show, and listen now. There's no comparison.

There are many podcasts (I get it, not live) that go for that long and are interesting. Elliot also goes way long without doing fake shit. He has awesome interviews and guests, which never happens at TKS.

It's not so much the few fake bits but the overall feel. I remember they used to (before the replay channel got popular) pretty much do the show over and over again 4 times a day. Same topics from 6am to the last hour. I used to say ok well people tune in later so they want to have everyone hear the topics....but what got me is EVERYTIME the topic got brought up everyone pretended like it was the first time they had heard it. So, listening to the show all morning, you would hear Danni be surprised 4 times at the same story, Kane vent about something 4 times, etc. once you heard them lie, it was hard to really enjoy listening to them anymore. Overall feeling of fake, not just the bits.

I don't think Kane has found his "perfect match" when it comes to a female cohost yet. I like Sarah but I also feel like if he was such a monster to work with you forfeited your right to bitch about it when you decided to stay and work with him for years. She's not pretty enough and too old for TV (harsh, but that's the business) but it took going to New York and subsequently failing for her to figure it out. What she's doing now (podcast) is what suits her best.

Mel came across as vapid and whiny. Rose doesn't have the personality for it, she can't roll with the punches at ALL and if you can't talk about "interesting" topics like dating/sex without getting offended by trolls you're in the wrong industry. And Danni drank her own koolaid and clearly has delusions of grandeur. She also comes across as uneducated; I was shocked that she went to college. Everyone stumbles across a word that they don't know very well every once in a while, but she encountered one every 2 minutes.

IJ is a straight up dick but he and Kane work as a duo. They just have that chemistry that you can't force. I hope they're able to find a female counterpart that's legitimately compatible. She'll be disrespected from time to time but the paycheck should compensate.

Absolutely. I used to be a rare one who would listen to the show from almost start to finish. I would try to listen to the replay to see what I had missed, and knew that I didn't miss anything. That was disappointing. The show isn't really set up for a person to listen in its entirety.
