There are many podcasts (I get it, not live) that go for that long and are interesting. Elliot also goes way long without doing fake shit. He has awesome interviews and guests, which never happens at TKS.

It's not so much the few fake bits but the overall feel. I remember they used to (before the replay channel got popular) pretty much do the show over and over again 4 times a day. Same topics from 6am to the last hour. I used to say ok well people tune in later so they want to have everyone hear the topics....but what got me is EVERYTIME the topic got brought up everyone pretended like it was the first time they had heard it. So, listening to the show all morning, you would hear Danni be surprised 4 times at the same story, Kane vent about something 4 times, etc. once you heard them lie, it was hard to really enjoy listening to them anymore. Overall feeling of fake, not just the bits.


Poster you're talking about here. Trust me, I get what you're saying, and I'm definitely not advocating or defending TKS for doing this. Although, I do know that I've been listening to TKS pretty much solely on replay the entire time I've been listening (basically for about 4 or 5 years, so back when Sarah and Samy were still on) so I wouldn't say they didn't only stop doing that because of the replay. Anyway, I was mostly only commenting on the part where people seemed to be mad about roses and scams being fake, not about the whole show. However, I will stand by the fact that TKS and other morning shows similar to it do not cater to a crowd that wants real-time important news stories, they mostly discuss fluff topics and talk about Hollywood, except on the occassion when a big national tragedy occurs.

Long, long post short, I do agree with you, like I said, my post was more directed towards the bit parts, hence why my OP did say, I don't agree that the whole show should be a big lie.

I started listening when it was Kane, Sarah, and Samy, and thought that was a good chemistry, regardless of whether it was forced on air. Even though I am not a fan of change, I didn't mind when Mel joined, she seemed to fit in nicely. When samy left and it was only Kane, Sarah, and Mel, even though I missed Samy I was even fine with that. When IJ came into the mix, it didn't work very well for me. When Sarah left and Danni joined, I lost that chemistry that I came to love on the show. I could almost feel Mel slipping away, and then when she left, that was it for me.

I feel the same. When Kane lied on Mel and then when he trashed his wife and mother of his girls on air - that was pretty much the nail in the coffin for me! Never liked Danni or IJ. Danni is a loud, boisterous, know-it-all and with all her issues (post partum depression, post partum anxiety, divorce drama) that nobody wants to hear first thing in the morning. IJ needs to get the marbles out of his mouth. I honestly don't how he made it onto radio. I hope Danni's is the first of many to go. The show needs to be revamped with all new on-air personalities.
