Just gross

Gross that a wealthy friend offered her children some place to live, given how obvious it is, even to strangers on the internet, how silly and totally clueless she is? Gross that her sister is paying her daughters’ tuition so that they’re not just leeching off of taxpayers via the public school system? Or gross that the insurance co actually paid, and timely, for once? Think her whole story is wild but the things you all are focusing on to hate her for are also pretty gross. As for Art Basel and other party pics…her future is riding on her being able to find someone new ASAP, and she’s not going to be able to do it by staying in and being dour and not getting noticed. It’s a pretty sad scenario really - practically no better than a street walker really. Marrying someone with major money, for their money, is a hard, hard job.

She’s going to have to find a real desperado to take on such an obvious gold digger. I’m assuming not many men want to think they’re signing their own death warrants on their wedding day.

She's in 4th wife to an 80 year old with dementia territory. Hopefully she knows that and is targeting accordingly.

She's really hot, she will land a rich older dude. I don't think she will need to settle for an 80 YO, but probably ends up with a handsome rich Florida guy in his early 60s who already has grandkids.

I'm really scared for her daughters, though. They will be preyed upon in the Miami scene by every two-bit lothario.

I read this article - hard to believe she didn't know anything that was going on. I can't believe they/he took on another residence in Manhattan in the midst of this. It would have been easy to make up a reason to just stay in the Hamptons home.

My in-laws live out there. I sent the auction link to my SIL.

They sold the house, I wonder if they have permission from the new buyers to sell all the light fixtures.

The prices are really reasonable. I’m sure everything was expensive and is high end but to me it looks just like what you’d buy at Target. No personality, no personal style. Looks cold, not like it was lived in by a loving joyous family, if that makes sense…

I have nothing but sympathy for all of these people. Even her. Especially her kids.

It's mid range furniture, nothing spectacular.

It's ugly shit, that's why the home buyer is auctioning it all off for peanuts.

Eh, I do not have sympathy for her, I do her kids obviously, but her spending like a billionaire is part (combined with wrongdoing and permissive behavior and not being transparent about finances early enough from the husband) of what put them in the situation that made her husband make the decision he made. They seemed entitled to be a billionaire and like they deserved to have this super-elite lifestyle. If they had lived like normal 1990s UES rich, have a more modest, but still large and fancy, apartment and hampton house, and passed on the insane wardrobe, boat, and Instagram jealousy daily activities they likely would have been fine financially even when they did not inherit a ton of money from his dad.

It is like a super expensive Pottery Barn aesthetic, not that I sm criticizing since I like PB..I think that the luxury furnishings that a lot of us associate with filthy rich people do not appeal to people in her age range.

That Morrocan black diamond pattern rug is all the rage right now. I know two people who have one in their home, and I see it constantly in home makeovers on YT.

I guess a lot of her friends will bid on the stuff at higher than list price.

Interesting. I’m actually in the process of furnishing a home out there, but no bargain is worth that bad mojo.
