Anyone following this Candice Miller/Mama & Tata nightmare?

They said on reddit he died of suicide from carbon monoxide poisoning in his car and enclosed garage. The carbon monoxide alarm went off and first responders discovered him.

I was a subletter (with a special super reduced rent) in one of these multi-million dollar NYC apartments. My landlord's business partner once told me "this isn’t real life."

Keep in mind, it's really hard to amass extreme wealth in a single generation and at a relatively young age. It's impossible to make that much money and also spend like an Arab with a fortune from oil money.

Supposedly an in-depth article will come out after shiva. This has Netflix show written all over it

No official family statement yet and the friends (or former friends) haven’t said anything directly. Word is he died by suicide while the wife and kids were in Europe. He was kept on life support so the family could say their goodbyes.

She (Candice, aka “Mama and Tata”) showed off their wealth excessively, and I mean EXCESSIVELY, on social. Another reason not to believe everything you see on instagram. It could all be a sham.

I'm surprised he was buried on a Saturday since he was Jewish.

Stay tuned for the Real Deal feature.

I had no idea about any of these people. This is very sad! Feel bad for kids. Wonder what else will come out. And the cousin already back to posting about her expensive outfits? Wow.

This is all very interesting but I wonder why anyone follows any of these influencers - that much money wasted (the lavish parties, the expensive outfits) makes me feel sick to my stomach. there’s people that are people dying.

But seriously, it’s feeding the beast. I used to watch some (much more moderate in comparison) women on TikTok with their crazy two story closets (with the spiral staircase) and it was like eating junk food. Had to stop. Guess I should work on stopping the DCUM habit next.

I'm dying, but still chose to follow and comment on the story.

Candice needs to start a luxury spendaholic support group. Have a contest each week, who can spend the least and save the most.

I don't follow the luxury NY ones but so many of the Utah ones. I would not be surprised if some of them were struggling financially considering the amount of overspending.

Ok Cliff’s notes… there is an influencer named Candice Miller, her blog name is Mama and Tata (don’t know where that came from).

How did I do?

The blog and original instagram presence was about Candice and her sister Jenna. Candice was the Mama as she is/was married with kids, and Jenna was Tata, her nickname for aunt.

I’ve never seen such a bigger fall in fortune from any socialite. This family lived in a $10 m apartment in tribeca, Hampton home that probably cost as much or more and spent so much money it was insane. Her everyday life seemed better than the best day of your life.

But it wasn't real.
