No
SYC has MLX Next for the boys; GA for the girls

The immediate ones are the BRAVE kids on the 06/07 team. Not one of them could take out the top 20 Union players.

forgot to mention the BRAVE 09s, I don't see any of them breaking into Union's top 20.

There may be 2-3 in the 08s who will definitely compete with Union players for one of those top 20 spots, though.

Just 2-3? You're an idiot.

Shouldn't FCV merge with Loudoun? They are closer to each other. I don't understand these partnerships where the geographic region is so large or so far away. SYC and Mclean never made sense.

Ding Ding! there is nothing else to say. Unless you believe that Brave players are the missing piece to Union sucess. Anyone in the know, knows the talent the last three years all came from Springfield. The question is how many return to SYC? Time will tell

I’m not saying that SYC didn’t bring talent to the table but there has to be a reason they merged to form Virginia Union in the first place. I’m guessing whatever that reason was still holds true and why the new merger formed.

I doubt the public will find out unless someone here shares the truth with us all.

Brave is in control. You will see a lot of Union players cut

Confirmed - Bunions staff

If Union doesn't keep AP on the boys side, all bets are off U-16+. If he remains as a coach, all will be fine as players and families like him and will see this merger as much ado about nothing much like SYC was.

Brave's record at the older age groups is 0-13 and 1-11 (two years and running).

You'd have to be a moron to put Brave coaches with those records over older Union teams...

Seriously. Just imagine who they are raising at home. Awesome parenting I'm sure.

BRAVE parent coach - U19 Boys - probably won’t be coaching since his kid is off to college.

Excited to see how this all plays out in the rankings next year. Best of luck to McBrave! We'll be cheering you on.

McLean proves it again.. Ya'll are freaking nuts out there. I've had 3 kids go through NOVA soccer and not once have they loss to a Mclean or BRYC team. This thread is a pissing match between two clubs that can benefit from a larger player pool.

So true, other than maybe VDA, none of these ECNL clubs should be saying players who won't make their rosters and will play GA or dilute GA rosters. Deaf, dumb and or blind you ECNL sheep still are. People, ECNL families will choose GA's player development model over this Alliance of the week ECNL is currently playing in NoVa, believe that! Your kid does not matter at all, is the messaging from ECNL. they are saying we know we are the best ticket in town for your girl to go to college and play soccer. No pathways for pro development, no pathway for equitable evalutions, trials in comparision to male couterparts. Just college is what ECNL is selling you. That is more than enough for most, don't get me wrongg, but if thats not enough for you, then its time to open your eyes parents. Maybe don't go to Revolution but certainly SYC is looking the most appealing outside of VDA, only becuase they have added a well known TD in BP, like him or not, you know he has connections. So VDA and SYC have at them, different parts of NoVa but one takes the East, the other the West, and Union just fails because of ECNL greed, and of course Arlington will always be there, being mediocre

Not a single ECNL player in the current recruitment cycle will willingly choose a GA team that is not VRSC. So sit down SYC Dad.

As far as GA as the next proven pathway to pro? It does not exist yet. Until it does you are on these and other boards spouting vapor ware to the tune of the same E64 crackpots two years ago. SYC has NOTHING to offer rising U15 and older. Zero girls college track record and only the rantings of pro pathways only seen in your mind. Show a single GA, NWSL, USL white paper on their plans for youth soccer domination.

You're so desperate for SYC attention you're trolling for players in a thread that has nothing to do with SYC. Why? Because nobody is on your SYC thread talking about SYC or GA. Nobody is even talking about GA but you.

The 2012G SYC GA team is good. It's talked about a lot.

You are the only one talking about a team who's players are just starting puberty and are playing 9v9 right now.

When they reach rising U15-U16 that team will be dismantled as the top players all leave for a actual program with a track record of placement.

+1 seeing this SYC parent or staff member spam every thread to brag about 12 year olds is getting old. SYC holding on to that 2012 team for dear life.
