Lo and Sons totes? Catalina vs Catalina Deluxe

does anyone own L&S tote? how would you rate it?

they are having winter sales right now, most items are discounted and i am debating ordering one for travels ( for 1-2 weeks) with a toddler. thank you!

I have the OMG and I like it, but it is heavy and bulky.

I would get the Catalina because it is more compact yet very functional.

I just found your thread, thank you! do you have the Catalina without the long shoulder strap? if that's the one - it seems a little too big and overwhelming on the pics, also i feel like i would like the option of the long strap, do you not miss it?

I have a similar sized lesportsac bag with a long strap and I found I never used the longer strap. There is something about wearing a giant bag crossbody that is just not comfortable for me. That said, the bag does get pretty heavy when it's filled up because it fits so much stuff, so if you are looking for something that you would walk around a lot with, I would probably suggest a backpack or small roller bag, carrying that much stuff a long ways is really bad for your back!

I have the Catalina Deluxe and love it. I have never used it with the long strap and have had no issues (I'm 5'4" and it comes down to around my hip when over my shoulder). It's the perfect size; it qualifies as a personal item (even on Spirit!) and fits a LOT of stuff. I just took it on a weeklong trip as my only bag and managed to fit 2 dresses, 2 pairs of shoes, a pair of jeans, 2 scarves, and 3-4 tops/sweaters in there, plus a makeup bag, wallet, etc. 100% recommend and am considering getting the regular Catalina too!

Same! Although i avoid it when i have to take a laptop, it gets too heavy to carry.

Do you have the Catalina Deluxe Tote or Catalina Deluxe?

Interested in this bag and LOVE my OMG. I ordered similar from Cuyana and it was just too heavy and big when fully packed. Would be fine for a road trip, but not for schlepping through an airport on top of a larger bag (was looking for a supplemental carry-on when I want to check a bag and bring a carry-on that rides on top). The Cataline Deluxe looks like it might fit the bill. The Catalina regular looks like you would run into the same issue with my Cuyana I returned- too heavy to haul around.

Can you clarify? What is good not for schlepping through the airport- the OMG? It looks like it's designed to do that? If the OMG isn't good for an airpotr, what 's it good for?

sorry, PP here - poor reading comprehension on my part. I see you like the OMG for weekends but not for traveling atop a bag. To me, the Catalina doesn't look practical for the later but I could totally be wrong.

I'm very intrigued by these bags and thinking of the OMG myself as an everyday work bag. I'm a little thrown by the comment that someone gave on the reviews on the site you could also use as a diaper bag. Does it look like a diaper bag?
