Lo and Sons totes? Catalina vs Catalina Deluxe

I'm very intrigued by these bags and thinking of the OMG myself as an everyday work bag. I'm a little thrown by the comment that someone gave on the reviews on the site you could also use as a diaper bag. Does it look like a diaper bag?

I ordered and returned the OMG. I liked the practical parts of it but it did look like a diaper bag to me.

It's the perfect size; it qualifies as a personal item (even on Spirit!) and fits a LOT of stuff. I just took it on a weeklong trip as my only bag and managed to fit 2 dresses, 2 pairs of shoes, a pair of jeans, 2 scarves, and 3-4 tops/sweaters in there, plus a makeup bag, wallet, etc. 100% recommend and am considering getting the regular Catalina too!

Do you have the Catalina Deluxe Tote or Catalina Deluxe?

The Deluxe, not the Deluxe Tote!

The online description wasn’t clear about the Catalina Deluxe fit under the seat. It did state the Deluxe tote did though, but I think the non tote version would work better for my needs, so I’m glad to hear this. Thanks!

Sorry to belabor, but the Catalina Deluxe Lr or Catalina Deluxe Small is a personal item on most airlines?

Anonymous wrote:Interested in this bag and LOVE my OMG. I ordered similar from Cuyana and it was just too heavy and big when fully packed. Would be fine for a road trip, but not for schlepping through an airport on top of a larger bag (was looking for a supplemental carry-on when I want to check a bag and bring a carry-on that rides on top). The Cataline Deluxe looks like it might fit the bill. The Catalina regular looks like you would run into the same issue with my Cuyana I returned- too heavy to haul around.

Can you clarify? What is good not for schlepping through the airport- the OMG? It looks like it's designed to do that? If the OMG isn't good for an airpotr, what 's it good for?

Sorry, that was confusing. I travel 5 days a week and use the OMG as my primary purse. It is great for going through the airport! I also always have a laptop and a ton of stuff with me, on the go to different client sites packing my workspace. It works like a dream for that. I particularly love the outside pocket where I can easily organize and store everything I need to access (passport, photo ID and corporate card, wallet, cell, etc) very quickly when I am in an airport, checking into a hotel, whatever. I can have my hands on the essentials in seconds. Maybe it's a little diaper baggish? IDK, I don't care. I'm a traveling consultant and I see this bag all the time with fellow consultants, so I sort of embrace the function over fashion on this one.

What I have been looking for is more of a 2-3 day weekend bag. Sometimes, I'll be away from home for 2-3 weeks and I just can't QUITE get everything into my suitcase. I'd still carry the OMG as my daily work purse, but would like a bag for overflow or to have for 2-4 day stretches when I don't want to lug everything to a third place (this is complicated). I bought this from Cuyana:

This was just too big. If you packed efficiently it would be VERY heavy to carry for anything more than a roadtrip, imho. It just seemed like it was easily the size of a rolling carry-on, if not bigger, and would be heacy to carry for long periods.
The Catalina Deluxe might hit this sweet spot in terms of size, so have been checking it out...
