ECNL moving to school year not calendar

All ECNL has to do is not let showcases affect anything. Showcases are meant for college scouts to watch players.

Players who get benched and clubs who decide to allow an older player down for GY would have to deal with that internally. So clubs might tell the hold backs to kick rocks.

ECNL will goto SY cutoffs for 2026. Tournaments will be SY starting Fall 25.
ECNL showcases will allow players on a SY waiver system. Age mandate BY will stay the same for Fall 25/Spring 26.

You have ECNL envy while ECNL folks don't notice GA exists. Also your allegiance to GA as a parent is just weird. Why would a parent care about league competition? And any proof that most of the NY people are GA, especially considering GA is such a small part of youth soccer.
