| Just started it....no idea it was based on a book. I find it captivating but, obviously, disturbing. I think Penn Badgley (sp?) is so well cast as Joe. I've never seen the main actress before but think she is also very good. No idea why Netflix is calling it a "Netflix Original" if it is a Lifetime show. |

I love it!
Is it weird that I find Joe to be totally likable? The main thing distracting me when I watch it is my recurring thought that Beck is SO not worth all the trouble he goes to for her. She’s attractive but not drop dead beautiful or anything. And she is so bland and boring! She’s like the definition of a basic Becky. Not to mention, a liar and a fake. And she treats him so poorly! |

I think the most disconcerting thing about the show is how you know he is a crazy creepy psychopath but I found myself rooting for him/them, feeling myself, 'oh that's cute' when they had cute moments. And then be like, DUDE, he is CRAZY. Stop. |

YES, the last episode is amazing. I just finished watching the entire series this past weekend.
Yeah, I was actually rooting for Joe too even though he's a psychopath, but for some reason, I sympathized with him. Beck is really annoying, she's okay but I just didn't get Joe's obsession with her. I liked Peach better. I can't wait for Season 2. |
