I get there are probably lots of lawyers and doctors. But I'm genuinely curious what y'alls professions are to allow you to earn the crazy amount of money being talked about on this forum. Inheriting money doesn't count. I suspect a lot of consultants too.
Did you all job hop constantly every 3-5 years to climb the ladder? Debating whether I would embark on that journey strictly for the money or just keep my job now that I like that is laid back. |

| 2 engineers. No job hopping, we've both been at our current companies for over 15 years. Back then we had a total hhi of under $100K. Steady raises and promotions, with a few big jumps up the ladder, and now we each earn between $150-200K in management or technical leadership positions. Total hhi is around $370-ish depending on bonuses. |
