| I’m going to be so sad when school starts up again and my kids have to get up at 6 AM. Over break so far they have been going to bed around nine and sleeping anywhere from 10 to 13 hours… Mostly around 11 1/2 to 12 1/2. It’s been wonderful. Both my preteen and teen are waking up and in terrific moods and are just so well rested. They get so much less sleep during the school week, that this is a rare and magical time. Just had to say this out loud, because I didn’t want to pinch myself. |
Total shit obviously say 10 to 13 hours. |
I must be tired. Title should say 10 to 13 hours. |
Never seen anyone offended by a simple typo |
Well aren't you lovely. Obviously, it was just a typo.
|
| OP, same here. My kids, all teens, are sleeping a good 12 hours per night. They clearly need the sleep and are in such good moods. So grateful for this break. |
| I wish my teen did that. He's underweight and in the third percentile, and needs his sleep. But no, he's been going to bed later and waking up at the same time to read in bed. |
|
| Mine too! My tween daughter went to bed last night at 10 and slept till noon. My teen son went to bed at 11ish and woke up at 11. They clearly needed a break! |
|
Same here, plus she’s a little under the weather, so sleep, sleep away.
Every other year, we travel somewhere on December 27, but not this year, so I am so happy we are staying home to relax and recover. |
Obviously that was OP trying to correct her typo and making another typo. |
OP here. Yes, I made another typo trying to correct the first one. Seems my kids are the only well rested in the house... |
|
Us too!
High school starts way too early. We live for breaks! |
Sleep in rather than posting stuff on DCUM at 7 a.m. OP, it will do you some good! |
| My 8 and 10 year olds go to bed around 9 and wake up (on their own) at 6:30am. I worry they’re not getting enough sleep. They could sleep longer but they don’t. Will this change when they become teens? |
