Judicial Watch and Fox and Dobbs, spreading anti-semitism.
(Judicial Watch is the rightwing "nonprofit" - really a laundromat for Koch network money that runs false smears against the left to achieve the billionaires' policy goals. Judicial Watch has spent hundreds of millions trying to assassinate the character of e.g. Hillary and Bill over 20 years. And Judicial Watch is mainstream in the GOP: George Conway worked with Judicial Watch; they're tied to Ken Starr and to the Fed Soc and Trump and also Citiz Untd, the plaintiff org that got the Fed Society judges to hand down the pro-billionaire campaign finance Citizens United SCOTUS decision.) Ok, back to what they said. https://talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/protocols-redux
![]() This is the right actively encouraging the same conspiracy theory that inspired the Pittsburgh shooter. And this isn't some rightwing kook unaffiliated with the Republican Party. This IS the Republican elite; Jud Watch is the core of the modern conservative movement and the donors who fund modern conservatism. There is hardly anyone more central to today's Republican party than a higher-up at Judicial Watch. And he's on a Fox Network. (Sure, he got banned; the point is the Judicial Watch connection, not Fox pretending they don't hint about similar stuff daily.) And he's on with one of the biggest right-wing hosts, Lou Dobbs. And he's spreading an anti-Semitic theory straight out of the Protocols. And he's spreading that hateful theory to get votes for Trump. This is the GOP. |
Yup. It's funny. The right has to walk a fine line. They have to be pro-Israel to appeal to evangelicals who believe the second coming is imminent. But they also have to be anti-semitic to get votes by stirring up hate in the anti-Semitic parts of the GOP base (and let me tell you, being from Alabama: that is a potent identity politics trope.)
So Breitbart under Bannon did both. Forward article on Breitbart anti-semitism
And here's Jeet Heer, who gets it.
Personally, I'd be much more negative about Horowitz, who is a despicable person. But the above gets the angle right, explaining the "double game" of rightwing pro-Israel anti-Semitic dogwhistles. |
More on Breitbart from the Anti-Defamation League.

Ugh. This.
And it's not just the higher-profile Fox-type rightwing media. PragerU, which has a big audience of young disaffected men, does it too. They carried a video provided by TP USA, another rightwing nonprofit that really does politics.

I should not be surprised. I think the bigger issues is anti immigrant sentiment. I think history shows that it is never just one ethnicity. You got to tackle the bigger beast for the smaller ones |
Lots of antisemitism on the left too. Jews face extraordinary problems. |
Exactly. Just look at the liberal New York Times, and their interview with the antisemitic Alice Walker, who took the opportunity to promote a horribly antisemitic book. And they published it! |
Give me a freakin break. There isn't lots. There is some ignorance, but don't compare the two. |
Nope, sorry, ostrich. |
Yup that Linda Sarsour a leader of the Women's March, such a right-winger. |
Guess you're not aware who the DNC s number two is? |
Yes, I am aware. What has Kieth Ellison done to you? Because he knows Louis Farrakhan? I am NOT antisemitic and yet, I sometimes listen to Louis Farrakhan. He doesn't hold nearly the power in the black community that people give him. Plus, that's your one leftist example? Seriously? |
+1 |
This is such a good example of the bothsidesism of the right.
On one side, the side of "dogwhistle to hateful anti-semites and get people killed in Pittsburgh and almost in DC": - The President - Multiple billionaire-funded/owned rightwing media outlets with MILLIONS of readers/viewers: - Fox - Daily Caller - Free Beacon - Breitbart - Stephen Miller, senior advisor to the president (I'm aware he's a Jew) On the other side: - a novelist and poet who has an audience each day you can count on one hand But because the rightwing media is good at propaganda, Alice Walker gets talked about non-stop, while Gab and the Daily Stormer and Unite the Right and Richard Spencer and Bannon and Breitbart and Tucker Carlson keep doing their thing. But the right doesn't talk about that.
Yup, there it is. False equivalency. Meanwhile, the whole Republican party: https://www.haaretz.com/opinion/.premium-how-gop-s-anti-semitic-and-neo-nazi-campaigns-fared-in-midterms-1.6633483 |
^^^ How'd this one get past the moderator? He insists there's no indication she's an antisemite. |
