Interesting mix of schools parents sent children too, shows it is not just high achieving schools. I think most MD parents send children to DC schools for convenience, near their job etc or unique offerings as in the case of Ellington.

Shows how difficult to prosecute as also filed false Food Stamp docs, that's why shouldn't be up to the schools. Re. Ballou didn't the teacher of the year who also committed residency fraud have some of her kids at Ballou? Think husband worked there as a coach or something.

When it moves to filing suit, they always do. Same as with the police officers a couple years back.

6 parents but only 3 families and one family was double-dipping so not many cases get prosecuted. I wonder how much work this took to uncover?

It does seem odd but some of the schools in PG are pretty bad too and its also possible this kid was kicked out of his home school.

Also, could have had a relative or someone they knew who worked there or it's near the parents job for easy pick-up or drop-off.

I want to know how they investigated and proved the scam.

As stated in one of the comments on the twitter feed linked above, you could find six at every school.

At least 6. More than 6 have already been identified at a few schools.
