No, it was pretty obvious they would be horrible once MCPS Admin began making videos to “explain” what the scores really mean.

The race breakdown is not uniform. My school lists all races but the other school in the neighborhood does only has white, latino, two or more races, special ed. It does not seem accurate.
How does that affect the grade?

Our local school earned 5 out of 5 stars. Go Oakland Terrace!

Garrett Park at 60th percentile?!?! They're lower than a bunch of downcounty consortium schools. Maybe mixing with Einstein would be a GOOD thing.

My focus school in the Eastern part of the county got 4 stars.....yay for the poors.

Heck, my kid's high needs Focus School that includes a bunch of subsidized housing got 73. That's still not great, and I think we could and should do better, but I'm feeling a little better about it now.

I mean, perhaps the lesson here is that DCC schools are not as bad as y'all would like to think?
