Empty Gucci Package!

Anonymous
I am currently fuming at 1000! I purchased a pair of $300 Gucci earrings from Macy's and the box was empty when I opened it!! I am so pissed off!! I am currently on the line with Macy's. I am trying to figure out where the theft took place-- at Gucci or along the way to it being shipped?

Has this ever happened to anyone out here before? I mean I've had packages stolen before, but never have I received an empty box!?

It probably happened while in transit. Hope they send you another pair.

Perhaps it's a mistake?
Anyway, you should clamor for a refund.

Since when does Macy's sell Gucci?

They are sending another pair, but for me that's not the point. Somebody stole something that belonged to me and I feel violated-- and they got away with it. I've had a shitty year and I bought the earrings for my birthday.

I received a bottle of Chanel no 5 as a gift last year. It was purchased in person at Nordstrom. The bottle was completely empty! Absolutely bizarre. I would imagine it was a factory error because there was no sign of damage, tampering or leakage. Nordstrom didn’t question the return.

I just had this happen with shoes I ordered. Box was completely open and post office wrote on the box that it was empty when they received it. Totally bizarre. I hope the company does the right thing.

I would hate to work at the Post Office. Between the senders who lie about packages and the receivers who lie about packages, there has to be a ton of fraud going on. I cringe anytime UPS is listed as my deliverer because everytime I’ve had an issue with a package they were connected to the delivery. Never had an issue with Fed Ex. I wish there was a way to choose.

UPS drivers "lose" packages all the time. They lost my package from Macy's last week after it arrived at their distribution center. These were Christmas presents I bought for my kids at Black Friday sale prices. Sadly, these items are all sold out.

I had a TAG watch purchased from a reputable online dealer that I received as a gift.

I took it to a local jeweler (certified TAG) to get it sized correctly only to find out that it was a stolen watch.

The jeweler was nice - showed me how they knew it and gave me the watch back. I called the online realtor who made it right.

What they think happened was that someone was "cleaning" stolen property. That they purchased a watch - swapped out a stolen won and returned it. The retailer put it back in inventory and sent it to me.
