Wondering if anyone has any knowledge or insight on this school. At the upper level 9-12?

It's a scam. Please be careful.

Following this - have always wondered what it is.

Why are they allowed at the local “Life After 8th” high school fairs? The representative definitely gave off a weird, cultish vibe. Many parents were talking about how aggressive the representative appeared.

Never been to "Life after 8th", but I would imagine they are allowed at the fair because their upper school is 9-12. I have a friend who has 3 children in the school and is happy with it.

It's for profit, under the disguise of the church and the church sponsored school shell. The staff and teachers have stakes in it.from 1% to 10%. Fir every student you bring in it recruited, you get a couple of thousands dollars commission. All investors are Chinese. The front face is the white American couple. They are also a chain business. The staff, investors, board members, have inflated and untrue items in their bio. It's scam.

Sorry about many types ,... One "advantage" for attending this school is that they have professional college application packaging personnel and experience. They have successfully packaged students' college applications, some of them from their original Virgina Beach school got accepted to "top" colleges/universities. This is one of their main selling point, especially to Chinese.

Any school, business, or organization using Harvard’s motto in its name is trying to take advantage of the uninformed and ill educated

Wow. That is one weird school. I'm basing this opinion entirely on the website.

I had never heard of this school before, but it sounds interesting. Do the international students live with local school families? The "commission" part for referrals is what strikes me as sketchy. Other than that, I like classical education. The Chinese investor part is actually not so unusual for new schools. The elite Chinese have a lot of money and they want to have American schools to send their kids to. They also get some sort of green card/ citizenship priority if they invest a lot of money in the US. The Americans who want to start a new school need the capital. They see it as win-win.

Does anyone know how much this school costs for American families? Most schools list tuition on the website. I actually like the fact that teachers get some sort of buy-in at the school. Usually private school teachers (especially at Christian schools) get paid very little, while their administration can get paid A LOT.

My children attend their Fairfax location and never once do they claim to be a church or to be sponsored by a church. To reference the race of the "face" of the organization seems to reveal some startling racism within yourself, sir or madam. From what I understand, there may be Chinese money backing the school but the founders are American and the school is in every way, shape, and form American! The business may be, in part, supported by Chinese people but as another has already mentioned in this forum, this isn't uncommon nowadays with the vast amounts of elite Chinese individuals who have money and want to invest in high quality opportunities for their children!

The American nature of this school does not stop with the nationality of the founders, by the way. It is embedded into every aspect of their curriculum and identity! This includes their satellite campuses which are located in both Asia AND Europe (as of this September they are opening a new location in Budapest). It is extremely rare that a school would allow both my son and daughter the opportunity to study abroad while retaining the exact same curriculum that they would have at their American campus. I am unsure where this vitriol is coming from but those on this forum who are speaking untrue rumors about this campus should be ashamed of themselves.
