| We like short, sweet names. Which would you choose? |
| Consider Anne? |
| Oh my god, neither! Those are short all right, but they're stumpy, not sweet. |
| They are both very sweet. I like Nell more but both are great choices. |
| I would choose a longer form of either (which you never have to utter if you don’t like it) to ensure that your DD has options as she ages in case short and sweet doesn’t appeal to her as much as it does to you. If you do that, then both Bea and Nell make fine nicknames. |

Nell.
|
| Neither are good options. |

Neither.
If you like short, traditional names like those two, I would go with Tess. If you are set on those two names, I would give her a longer legal name. I vote for Beatrix nn Bea as a first choice & Janella nn Nelle as a second. I would spell Nelle Nell, though, to lessen the chances of her being called Nellie. |
| Nell still makes me go straight to the movie - not a great association. But Bea feels like a nickname. What about Jane, Elle, Claire, Faye, June, or Rose? |
| I like both! |
Sorry, I see now that you already plan on spelling it Nell instead of Nelle! |
Tess. Dog name as I know. Cute dog name. |
+1 Or Jane. Tess, or Claire. |
| Have you considered Abcde? |
| Tess is a nickname for Theresa. |
