Make a case for the next head coach for the USMNT. It seems like the top candidates are Julen Lopetegui, Tata Martino, Tab Ramos and Gregg Behralter

| I think at this point the US soccer staff would be uncomfortable with any non American except for Pep guardiola or other famed brand name EPL coach with poaitive lublic opinion who is fluent in English. And why would any of them leave to coach the US. Maybe someone like Alex furgeson on but he is not coaching anymore. other than that it's definitely going to be an American |
Why? With the US falling behind, what is the reason on insisting on American coaches? We don't stand a chance. |
| hiring a foreigner is an admission that we, as americans, suck. |
I think that's complete garbage. This country is made up of "foreigners" who immigrated here at one point or another in recent history. Have we had any native American head coaches on the USMNT? Ramos, the Men's U20 coach, immigrated here when he was 11. |
| Leonardo Jardim is available, just saying |
|
Martino is signing to coach Mexico, US soccer said they aren’t considering Loperegui, and Ramos hasn’t been interviewed for the job.
If it’s anyone other than Berthalter, it would be shocking at this point. Which sucks, because Ramos has done an incredibly good job with the U20 team. |
That’s idiotic. Great soccer countries hire foreigners all the time. |
Great soccer countries hire good coaches. |
| So, is the delay in announcing because options are still being explored or some other reason? |
True, but the United States lacks world class coaches so they may have to go outside the country if they want quality. |
The rumor has it that they wanted one of MLS coaches and waited for the MLS season to be over. It does not seem like they want anyone who is interested in changing the status quo or rocking the boat. MLS has to be protected at all costs. |
Yep. This is a decision to continue to lose. |
MLS is the anchor that holds the USMNT down. And the Berhalter fanboys forget that he's only getting decent results in a third-class league against mediocre competition. US Soccer is going to waste the talents of our best generation yet to please the MLS cartel by hiring the brother of one of their to executives. |
| The smartest talent we have will head overseas, like Pulisic did, |
