By 2030, MoCo will surely become a lawless wasteland, with people scrounging for food wherever they can find it.
Here in North Potomac we're already feeling the inevitable demise of our county, and we long for the promised land of Fairfax County, if only we could afford to live there. |
My friend who works for a developer told me that they post on this site to stir up sht, wonder if you're one of them. Or just, ignorant. Either or, you sound like an idiot. |

Montgomery County will secede from Maryland, and ultimately, the United States of America. Its seat will move from Rockville to Takoma Park, which will ultimately become its capital.
Marc Elrich will install himself as Dear Leader for Life. It doesn't matter that he will be 80 by then. Like Vladimir Putin, he will never age. 2030 will be midway through Elrich's third Five Year Plan. Everyone will be collectivized into Hippie communes with a command economy based on agriculture (kale harvesting and kombucha brewing) and ethically sourced smart technology that only operates for liberals. Everyone will stay and worship their Dear Leaders and the Party because they will become Enlightened, as Comrade Elrich will treat the public water supply with ayahuasca. |

Here's one thing I predict for MoCo in 2030: a lot more density. It's going to be a big political battle as SFH neighborhoods near the Purple line are given zoning variances, school lines are re-drawn, and tax resources re-deployed. It will swell the County's tax coffers and also spur infrastructure investment.
The old people of MoCo will have a fit, but many of them will be dead by 2030. The younger generations will accept the reality of more density. |

+100, the county's tax rosters will swell and more schools will be rebuilt or built to cover the density. Losing Amazon was great but gaining more mass public transportation and having Hogan expand the highways is a good thing. |
| I am wondering what OP thinks should be legal in MoCo that is not. |
