Here's one thing I predict for MoCo in 2030: a lot more density. It's going to be a big political battle as SFH neighborhoods near the Purple line are given zoning variances, school lines are re-drawn, and tax resources re-deployed. It will swell the County's tax coffers and also spur infrastructure investment.

The old people of MoCo will have a fit, but many of them will be dead by 2030. The younger generations will accept the reality of more density.

+100, the county's tax rosters will swell and more schools will be rebuilt or built to cover the density. Losing Amazon was great but gaining more mass public transportation and having Hogan expand the highways is a good thing.
