I don't think most people believe this is about the "golden showers" so much as the financial ties. But, as Samantha Bee said last night, the "golden showers" info is enough to suggest that 2017 may shape up to be a much better year than 2016. |
This is like someone telling you that a trainwreck is about to happen. You really, really don't want to see it, but now you have 6 hours to imagine what it might look like. And my brain will never be the same again. |
Agreed. What a lot of b.s. This line is my favorite: "Trump’s electioneering based on restoring more balanced foreign relations, in particular toward Russia, probably won him many votes from American citizens who are sick and tired of decades-old warmongering. " Because we all know that Trump's supporters are the peace-loving, non-militaristic types, right?

Really hope that something substantial and verifiable is brought to light (although I certainly don't want to watch it). But if the salacious pieces of the dossier are verified, maybe that will lend more credence to the financial ties as well. Also, I could be mistaken here since they've given Trump so much leeway on so much corruption and debauchery, but I can see middle America taking a "meh" view of a golden shower fetish. |

So... maybe we could drop the adolescent banter about golden showers for a few minutes, and actually become informed about the author of the dossier.

Do you remember when Evan McMullin was talking about the memo? His opinion of the memo-writer was the same. |
You are totally missing the point. This is not about whether the article is accurate, it's about the RT painting Trump as sympathetic to Russia and being tamed by American elites. Trump is being used as a prop for Russian propaganda as a way of discrediting the American democracy. And even unsubstantiated questions about his allegiances gives this idea more weight. The truth truly does not matter anymore, the damage is done. |
Just like the 13 year old DCUM was so sure Trump had raped..only to find it was fake news. |
Our very own Christopher Foyle?

I am the one who posted this, and I agree with you. But that's Russia Today for you. If Russia thought they had him in the bag (via blackmail) and they do not, there is going to be consequences, for Trump. One of my friends saw in person what a dick Putin was to Clinton after the 'reset' did not work out. I expect him to be no less of a dick to Trump after this new "friendship" goes dour. |
It wasn't fake news. The death threats from the ever-classy Trumpers had their intended effect of intimidating her. Nicely done, dirtbag brigade. |
| If Trump is no longer of any use to Putin then Putin leaks videos, etc. It destroys Trump and his entire family, as well as GOP leaders. I just pray Putin does so before the reptile takes oath of office. |
The MI6 guy's record is stellar: "The former Foreign Office official, who has known Steele for 25 years and considers him a friend, said: “The idea his work is fake or a cowboy operation is false – completely untrue. Chris is an experienced and highly regarded professional. He’s not the sort of person who will simply pass on gossip.” The official added: “If he puts something in a report, he believes there’s sufficient credibility in it for it to be worth considering. Chris is a very straight guy. He could not have survived in the job he was in if he had been prone to flights of fancy or doing things in an ill-considered way.” That is the way the CIA and the FBI, not to mention the British government, regarded him, too. It’s not hard to see why. A Cambridge graduate, Steele was one of the more eminent Russia specialists for the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6). The Guardian understands that he focused on Soviet affairs after joining the agency, and spent two years living in Moscow in the early 1990s." |
