Just by this you can assume that VRSC #1 team = LS #3 in most cases. I think parents who dont see this are drinking the kool-aid. This by no means is a swipe at your child. If the kid wants to get to the level where they are at a top club playing top teams then they need to work for it. Nothing wrong with that.

I wouldn't look at it that way at all. LS #3 = VRSC #3. VRSC doesn't have a #1 or #2 team yet. If they are able to get MLSN then they will form new teams that will become comparable with LS #1 and #2.

This is exactly what happened on the girls side. VRSC got Girls Academy and formed two completely new teams that will be comparable to LS #1 and LS #2. The existing VRSC Black team remains #3 in NCSL.

It's not useful to compare teams from clubs of different sizes based on their order in the club. Makes more sense to compare teams in similar leagues. Compare NCSL teams with NCSL, RL/EDP teams, GA/ECNL/MLSN teams.

Vrsc girls GA teams will be equivalent to LS top teams? You sure about that?

With the influx of top players from other clubs? Absolutely.

You think VRSC is going to start off where FCV is currently at? there is no chance. FCV is currently a Champions Cup level club right now, VRSC won't even be in the conversation for Champions Cup after next season. With Ukies gone Beadling has it locked up for the North, Armour will probably get it for the south. The only saving grace is that with Ukies leaving, Keystone probably gets realigned to the North leaving the South with 2 Baltimore teams, Sporting, Skyline and the 3 brand new Northern VA GA clubs. Outside a couple age groups, the North is going to dominate the mid-atlantic.

Nice job moving the goal posts! First was that VRSC didn't have a base and would struggle mightily like Metro. Now they will be decent in GA but they won't be in champions cup next year? Which is it?

That's not moving the goal posts, that was in direct response to the "with the influx of top players from other clubs? absolutely" that VRSC will be equivalent to LS top teams.

FCV now is equivalent to LS's top teams...so saying that VRSC won't start off anywhere close to where FCV is currently (Champions Cup level club) reinforces that they won't be equivalent to LS's top teams.

You're assuming they are talking about one club only, which they did t state. There were MANY different club jerseys all around vrsc this winter/spring from top teams, not just FCV. Cling to your Loudoun ride or die if you want. But Loudoun has been getting worse and worse every year since the pandemic in the development and 9v9 groups, which are pre ecnl or making their way to it Loudoun has a few great teams. That doesn't carry a declining club quality.

They are not poop, but they’re not good. They are mid.

For any current VAR players/families, does your coach regularly use the Track160 system with your team, son, or daughter? What are your thoughts on the system? Does your son/daughter see value in having access? Also, does VAR use Veo, Trace, etc. for away matches?
Anonymous
Track160 sends clips for plays as well as stats both for the player and team. I have not seen Veo used but they do have access for away games. Track160 does also send a video of the whole game. This last year was the first year using Track160 so next year they might expand how it’s used.

I mean if we are making suggestions, a walking path around the outside would be great.

I did recently find out they finished the bathrooms at Field 3/4 - that's another tic in the win column

A wood chipped trail around the complex would be amazing. Probably my #1 complaint about the facility not related to parking. If you want to stretch your legs or gets some steps while waiting on your kids' practice to finish -- you're basically causing congestion and safety issues walking around the parking lot.

There used to be a 5K trail through the woods back in the day, but that's gone.

Walk around the upper deck.
