Adam has lost large numbers of boys within the program for years. It shouldn’t shock anyone.

Barca boys all left last year. They killed the what is now u12 and u13 boys who trained in Springfield by not securing practice space for them locally.

And I think last years u9 (now u10) boys both in Loudon and Springfield mostly all left.

This is when poor Bastien will realize hardly anyone currently rostered on a GA1 team is staying at the club. Adam seems to be the main reason why no one wants to stick around. St James staff and Adam maybe in denial of that but they will quickly learn when they officially send offers that less the 15% of each team is staying at their club.

Still waiting for news on other coaches they are hiring.

Still waiting for news on what the “merger” is with a local organization that will give them field space.

Word is that they're working with Communitu Church in Ashburn to redo the existing field there into turf and add additional fields. That's not a permanent fix still as I don't see how going into a field agreement with a property owner is any different than what was happening at Revolution.

Well, the difference would seem to be that the church doesn’t have a competing soccer club with a vested financial interest in denying field space to FCV. And presumably, if FCV is “working with” the church to do this, then there is almost certainly some kind of contractual agreement in place that guarantees them field space which, even if it’s short term (a few years), that buys them time to find a more permanent solution or to decide to throw in the towel on FCV in Loudoun County, etc.

Judging from how things have gone the past few years, I would HIGHLY question TSJ's commitment to actually continuing long term with a high level program.

I am a parent of a younger boy and the whole TSJFCV thing just doesn’t make sense to me. Why would St James buy a club based in Loudoun and then somehow try to set up multiple sites between those two locations? Why would younger kids go for that over a club that uses a smaller number of fields all located within the same geographic area and where you can get to know other players/coaches/families within the club because everyone is coming and going from the same few places? I get why older kids start moving around and driving all over for the best place for their kid(s). But I just don’t see the appeal of the TSJFCV setup for kids just starting travel soccer. It’s hard to keep their teams straight… north blue, south black, academy, etc. It’s hard to understand their model, which is not a good way to attract new customers. AB comes off like an aggressive salesman which was a turnoff for us.

I know people here are more focused on the older girls, but this club is in trouble if they can’t get younger kids to sign up. Other clubs near their Loudoun location have 4/5/6 teams per age group.

From what I understand most of the younger North girls teams have moved their entire team over to VRSC. Not sure about the boys, but I agree there isn't much of a draw now if you are in Loudoun.

Someone needs to ask the new “leader” Adam who is the 2009 GA1 coach and what happened to Rudy.

Has anyone heard from Rudy or anything about Rudy since he ran out of the meeting last Tuesday about 10 minutes into the meeting claiming he needed to catch a flight.

Bring Terry Foley back. Save the club.

Wow, these FCV or bust parents! Even after TSJ puts them and their kids through the wringer, these parents are still there anxious to continue paying some of the highest fees in the area to an organization with no fields, no good coaches, and a business leadership that has shown over and over that this is just a side hustle for them. Bless their heart!

CC and BP put the kids through the ringer, not FCV unless someone needs to come clean. Who leaves mid season?

If they were going to leave then it’s better they did so now, when the FCV GA players still have the opportunity to go somewhere else for next season. And those players will be just fine, it’s the ones they’ll displace who aren’t so lucky.
