And Mary Peltola beats Sarah Palin, again

I tell you what, I was expecting a dumpster fire for Dems this year - and instead we have gotten a whole heck of a lot of promising results. Didn't win every contest, lost the House, but holy heck did we have some good candidates win some good races, against some absolute garbage candidates.

Maybe I will reconsider my opinion on Harper v Moore now that the dems control the statehouses in these battleground states where the GOP ruled the roost for the past generation.

“Trump’s favorability rating among exit poll voters was a dismal 39%, and even in places like ruby-red Texas, it was only 45%. In 2020, Trump won 47% nationwide in his re-election bid. Nearly three out of 10 voters this year said their main reason for voting was to oppose Trump, even though he has been out of office for two years. Only 16% said their main reason was to express support for Trump.

If there is one single explanation for why the 2022 midterms were so different from others, it’s this: It became a referendum on Trump almost as much as it was on Joe Biden’s failures. That’s never happened before.”

We should have followed the Republican lead here and called the election on election night ignoring the mail-in ballots. Frisch was leading then.

By just a couple hundred votes. Last time she won by 20,000 votes. Half of her district hates her now.

I don’t think her district changed much in redistricting, either.

Looks like GOP is now up to 221 seats in the House.
