Zappos shipping - is it me?

| I thought maybe others ordered over the weekend and we could compare notes. I ordered some stuff on Saturday and it says estimated delivery on Thursday. I ordered more things on Sunday and that order says next week. I have VIP and that gives me 1 day shipping, but it’s the processing time that’s long. I’m used to having weekend orders on Tuesday. I’m wondering if something has changed or maybe it’s because I didn’t join the rewards program and now it’s taking longer if you’re not a rewards member. |

I last ordered something 2 weeks ago and I received it within 18 hours with the VIP one day shipping. Everything else I’ve ordered this season has also been very timely.
Sorry I can’t help you with the other questions. I know a lot of people complain about amazon prime shipping being increasingly unreliable; hopefully Zappos isn’t going down the same path! |

| I ordered on a Sunday afternoon (Oct 28) and received on a Tuesday. I don't think it could have been any quicker given weekend shipping, but int the past I've had delivery in less than twelve hours ordering on a weekday evening. I'm a long time customer but haven't ordered much in the last year. Don't know what VIP status is, so I don't think I have it. Guessing in your case something was out of stock or being drop shipped. That's never happened to me, but not everything can be instant. Also have you noticed these companies that offer fast shipping, really don't offer recourse if they fail, since shipping was free. Sure you might cancel the order, but there was already free return shipping, too. |

| Thanks PPs, that’s helpful. It doesn’t sound like either of you are rewards members. Since I posted this morning, I got two shipment emails - some items from the Saturday and Sunday order. Those are looking like Wednesday delivery. |

Right, but the issue is it’s taking a long time for the order to actually ship, not for the shipping part to kick in. |

yeah. Something is going on. I ordered on Saturday or Sunday and it still says processing. I'm guessing they're having some major computer problems. Probably got hacked

I had the same experience in Sept. And I am a VIP memeber. I think they are carrying less inventory and are procuring direct from the vendor when orders are placed. Same with Amazon. So once Amazon/Zappos gets the item then the fast shipping kicks in. But it has to get to Amazon/Zappos first. |

This poster is me. When I called Zappos the service assistant asked me if I was in VA or MD. Apparently UPS was causing delays shipping to these areas faulting bad weather. |

With all the election coverage, I totally missed this news! Explains why my "2 day free shipping" from Prime is scheduled to arrive in 10 days. Amazon owns Zappos, so it is possible that this warehouse had some Zappos items in it. |
