My kids title 1 school acts talk about school spirit and pride all time. Always posting on Twitter. Last Friday was icing on the cake. P and VP dressed up as matching superheros for character day. Lots of PTA events. Is your school like this? My kid is in K. It’s overwhelming.

| My kids K teacher had 3 kids in the school, We are at a Focus school in MD. Made me happy to know the teacher thinks its good enough for her kids too. |
| You're complaining that your school's administration are enthusiastic about the school and their students? Stop following them on twitter if it bothers you so much, but this is a strange problem to have. |
|
They need to have lots of school pride to counteract your lack of pride.
What's wrong with super hero costumes? I don't understand your criticism. |
| Your thread title is misleading. |
| Your school sounds great. What exactly is your problem? |
Given the gratuitous reference to Title I, I suspect OP believes the admin should be a little more ashamed of their “lesser” status. |
| School spirit is an awesome thing and is best creates when led from the top to drive the vibe at the whole school. Feel lucky OP. |
| This is so good for the kids too! |
| I think ours is the best in the universe and I’m thrilled with the teachers and administrators. Yours sounds pretty great, too. |
| Some districts require teachers to tweet positively about their school/district. Thank God LCPS doesn’t require that crap of me. |
| I think it's great when people feel this way about their schools just like it's great when people think their DH or DW is the best in the world. I'd rather see social media posts about the former than the latter. :-p |
| Sounds like s great school! |
| Motivation is a HUGE factor in kids' success in school. When kids feel good about their school, they are more likely to attend and work hard. I don't think that this type of school spirit is a bad thing. |
|
I like the superhero costumes! Why is that a problem? It’s kindergraden FFS. Not K.
And yes. Part of a principals job is to be a cheerleader for the school. In Hs, they end of attending a lot of sports events and band concerts. Say it all together now: tone at the top. Get off Twitter. |
