Recommend your 8 seater SUV

Honda Pilot. Just bought the 2018 about 6 months ago and love it. Compare to highlander, etc.

Do you need a large trunk? Will the third row be used daily?

Love my Pilot. I have a 2016. I also looked at the Highlander but the legroom in the 3rd row was less and the trunk was smaller. Not sure if the calculation has changed with the new Highlander model.

Need to know this OP. If you need trunk space with a third row up, it’s basically Suburban/Yukon XL/Expedition EL.

Yes I need third row up permanently plus trunk space to fit hockey gear, etc.

Do as previous post said and look into Suburban/Yukon XL. Really the only cars that have enough 3rd row legroom while still offering space for gear in the back. Especially since it sounds like you do not want a minivan.
