| DH loves it. I'm not sure what I think about it. It's Greek, like our daughter's name Zoë. Our kids aren't Greek lol, they are black/white/Native American. |
| It's a nice name, but I think most people would equate it to Cleopatra. |
|
Is Cleo really Greek? Other than coming from a Greek word? I’ve never met anyone named Cleo who was Greek. In fact I’ve only known fictional characters on tv name Cleo and they were AA/biracial.
I like it, but not sure about the paring with Zoe. E-o. O-e. EI-EI-o... |
| I thnk of three things: Miss Cleo the tv psychic, my dog who is named Cleo, and Cleopatra Jones the movie. Well, four things, the original Cleopatra. |
| You could use Clio, which is Greek - Clio is the muse of history. |
OP here! Ok this is what I meant Clio! Not Cleo |
She'll be constantly correcting everyone on the spelling. Still not a fan. They are pronounced exactly the same. |
| I named my cat Clio. |
Clio: My name is Clio. People: C-L-E-O? Clio: No, C-L-I-O. Not a big hardship, I think. |
I never said it was a hardship but she will be correcting for the rest of her life. |
| No |
I think it's adorable - either spelling. But expect lots of letters to her (okay, maybe just from some hipster Gen-X'ers
|
| No one else sees clitoris? |
No, do you have this issue with all cli- words? Clinician, cliff, climate, client, clippings? |
I have a standard English-language name spelled the standard way, and I've been correcting people all of my life. |
