| I like Cleo. I don't like Clio. |

How about
Callista? |
I know a teenaged Clio and really like the name. Her younger sister is another Greek muse - parents are academic types. |
I like it, op. But, if you don't I would think of another name. |
Just saw your newer post. I like Cleo rather than Clio. |
No to Chloe and Zoe. Too much. Really, pp? |
| I like it |

A girl what? Cat? Dog? Maybe.
Human? Heavens, no. |
| FWIW I know 3 baby Cleos (though no Clios. And yes, I also read Clio and all I see is Clit). |
That's kind of a silly reason not to name someone. I have a traditional name that is not uncommon at all (it's generally in the top 100-150, and for many years used to be in the top 10) and I constantly have to spell it out and people constantly mispell it. And I don't have an odd spelling of it, either. I think it's safe to say that most people have to correct spellings of their names, either first or last. |
| I totally see clit with Clio. I really like Cleo, though have only met dogs with the name. You could go with Clea - one of Durell’s Alexandria quartet - if you like obscure literary names. Or, better yet, Justine. I love the name Cassandra nn Cassie but it’s not a happy Greek reference (doomed to always tell the truth but never be believed). |
| It's a very pretty, simple name. I love it! |
No, I still vote Vivian if you're the same poster I think you are !
