Not exactly stood up - the guy walked out of the restaurant after he sat her at the table.
Married for about 6 years in our early 30s and my wife has been fond of telling me that I'm lucky to have gotten her and that I get more out of the marriage than she does and that she has given up so much by marrying me. She does this as part of her world view in which she struggles against the patriarchy. We get along mostly and I'm kind of pragmatic so... I finally told her that if that is the case she should get on match and see if she can find a better situation. Well... she isn't bad looking and takes a good picture so she got a lot of emails. She filtered for guys making over 160K (I "only" make 130-ish) and she tried talking to several on the phone and all but one ended the phone calls quickly. She had one guy ask to meet her at the local coffee shop. She wasn't gone very long and according to her. After they met and talk for about 2 minutes he asked what she wanted and then walked over to get in line and when she looked away he walked out the door and never came back. She has been preoccupied with this for a couple days now and can't figure out why guys are not attracted to her anymore. I kind of think its a little funny. Just wanted to share. |

At first glance I might agree; however, isn't it always the imagined wondrousness of the forbidden fruit that lures people to seek that greener pasture? Maybe he found a practical way to implement that whole "set them free and if they come back...." thing. |
