Wife got sood up on her date

Anonymous
I've been married a long time and when my wife goes on and on about 'better husbands' I simply tell her if that's what she really believes go find one. That always settles her down and it's been over 30 years. Women like to bitch and vent and you have to roll with it. Yes, when her issue is valid and often is I deal with it so I'm not a complete loser.

Wife would never tell husband she failed.

Married for about 6 years in our early 30s and my wife has been fond of telling me that I'm lucky to have gotten her and that I get more out of the marriage than she does and that she has given up so much by marrying me. She does this as part of her world view in which she struggles against the patriarchy. We get along mostly and I'm kind of pragmatic so... I finally told her that if that is the case she should get on match and see if she can find a better situation.

Well... she isn't bad looking and takes a good picture so she got a lot of emails. She filtered for guys making over 160K (I "only" make 130-ish) and she tried talking to several on the phone and all but one ended the phone calls quickly. She had one guy ask to meet her at the local coffee shop. She wasn't gone very long and according to her. After they met and talk for about 2 minutes he asked what she wanted and then walked over to get in line and when she looked away he walked out the door and never came back.

She has been preoccupied with this for a couple days now and can't figure out why guys are not attracted to her anymore.

I kind of think its a little funny. Just wanted to share.

So what did she say to home before he went to the coffee line?

I bet she said: my husband told me to go on match and see what’s out there so here I am. He’s going to do the same.

And he bolted.

Duh.

And what kind of patriarchy are you running OP?

Exactly. And she wouldn't be going on to her husband about being all puzzled regarding:

Made up out of whole cloth. maybe it made him feel better to imagine it, though. Good for him!

If I was in my early 30s, no kids, and spouse was talking to me like that, I would head for the hills and never look back.

If this is not a troll, your wife is a nut job.

OP here.... She told me what happened because I was surprised how quickly she returned and I asked why she was home so quickly. I didn't think it was going to go so well when I saw that she pulled out an outfit from when she was in college. When she got home she was upset and was upset with Match. She was reading their reviews and came to the conclusion that its the website and not her. She wanted to know if she could cancel and get her money back. I just rolled with it but I did mention that Match is only a clearing house and they don't control the inventory. I didn't clarify what inventory I was talking about.

I'm sure that's exactly what happened, OP.

I bet the camera lingered just so on his wry look as he dropped the "inventory" bon mot.
