| What makes them interesting? Cool hobbies? World travels? Crazy job? |

This isn't the answer you are looking for, OP....but imo it's not about the job. IMO, The really interesting people take their intellect and thoughtfulness and focus it on other people...they are generally interested in you, and the world around them...that's what makes them interesting.
Ok so to answer your question in the way I *think* you are asking it, my DDs art teacher has stage 4 colon cancer, is widowed, has three early 30s kids...one son who has mental issues and lives with her, and two highly successful other kids with interesting stories. The thing about her is she's exuding positivism and it's contagious. |

I have a friend who sold everything and moved to Europe with her husband and kids and now lives in a camper van criss-crossing Europe while working and homeschooling. I find her life choices interesting, and she would be the first to admit thats what they are going for.
Our landlord is awesome. He just tuned 70 and has so many stories. Being old and having done so many different things is interesting. He’s the guy that has a something to say about anything you bring up. And it’s not because he’s a one-upper. |
| I have a good friend who has had a severe physical disability since birth and has accomplished far more in life than most able bodied people. What's really interesting about him is that as long as I've known him, over 20 years, he has never let his disability get in the way of anything to the point that I don't think he knows he has a disability. He may not be the most interesting person I know but he is inspiring. |
| Probably the guy over in the thread about things people do at work - the one who has been on the payroll at one company or years yet does nothing...and actually has ANOTHER job while still collecting a salary from the first company. Yeah, I'd say that's pretty damn interesting! |
NP. I think it’s a cool/unusual circumstance, but I don’t think it makes the person himself/herself interesting at all. Why would it? |
| Is it odd that I can’t even think of one person? |
| DH and I are friends with a couple that are super interesting. They live in The District, and he works for a government agency with a great mission. She works for a prominent non-profit. They go out all the time, and hob-non with all sor5s of muckety-mucks. Oh, and they travel a lot too! They just got back from Portugal, and have a trip to Iceland already planned. If only... |
It's you, isn't it? |

I don't think whether or not a person is interesting has anything to do with their job, where they've traveled, their hobbies. I think it's their inherent personality. An interesting person can make the most mundane life funny and interesting because they will identify the things that are worth sharing and make them funny and relatable.
In my experience, some of the most not interesting people can be the well traveled ones with the big jobs. They tell you boring stories about how great they are. No thanks. |
