25 and 34 too much of an age difference?

Does it matter male vs female?

No

Sincerely,

36 year old guy who just met (ostensibly) 25 year old woman.

No.

Nope. I know 40-year-olds dating 28-year-olds. Now THERE is a big life difference.
Anonymous
No. There are 19years between my husband and me.

Damn. Assuming you're the younger one, your life is going to suck once you hit your mid 40s

When I was 25 I though guys who were 34 were ancient. I think within three years is ideal and anything over six is a big gap. Six is still a lot tho.

I think as you age, that gap, gets less significant. I am in my early 40s and my BF is 12 years older. I don't think the age gap is very significant at all.

The age gap gets less as you age. I'm with a guy who is eight years my senior now. But if I'd met him when I was 25 ... 33 would have seemed considerably older to me. Because I was immature.

Yes. You'll end up being his nursemaid when he turns into a broken-down old man.

It doesn’t strike me as a big deal.

Personally, it would be too much for me and I wouldn't want my kids to date someone either that older or younger.

1/2*34 + 7 = 24. So you're good.

I think it’s okay if it’s the man who is older.

It depends a bit on your maturity and life experiences. When I met my DH, he was 34 and I was turning 27, but I’d lived and worked overseas. I found 20 something men to be relatively immature.
