I don’t think there are too many head scratchers.
4 Hero’s Green
Several NOVA girls (5 cap blue and M&D)
Some from the south (which is pretty typical based on past rosters)

That makes up the majority of the roster. I am sure there are a few questionable picks, but that is to be expected with a short tryout and a lot of girls. They definitely missed a few really good girls, which is unfortunate. I think the team will be stronger than AS and AA last year but could have been stronger with a few of the girls they passed on.

How can you tell who plays for Hero’s? I only see HS listed. Regardless, I welcome Hero’s girls.

After years, you know who all these girls play for. It’s a small community. The four Hero’s girls all use to play for BLC before they all jumped ship.

And one of them must have sent in video because she was not at the tryout

People that sent in videos are probably the ones without a number next to their names. They don't have a tryout number.

Sending in and allowing video instead of a tryout is utter non sense

Well, if a proven girl(s) on the best team in country cannot make the tryout for a reason the coach deems acceptable I am taking them every time over the weaker player. All of these girls have so much video that you can tell what they can do.

And it's probably a better eval than a 2.5hr tryout for ~50 girls.

And it's probably a better eval than a 2.5hr tryout for ~50 girls. Suggest they extend or add more evaluators. Heard there were only 2 evaluators with a couple of high school assistants helping set up.

Always helps when one of the evaluators is from your club. Not sure if they thought choosing an evaluator from MD would make them impartial in DC but all it did is have girls from a very low ranked club on the team

Which club was one of the Evaluators from? The head coach has no club affiliation and the assistant coach is affiliated with the Jets program and no players for that program are on the team. There were 2 other evaluators there. Are you saying one of them is associated what a club? If so, which one?

i don't think that's what they meant. in this case, they're suggesting having no affiliation backfired, since the coach from MD did not know the top girls from the top clubs in DC/VA and ended up selecting girls from very low ranked clubs

Look at the roster in detail , you can tell what HS a certain evaluator was from. And I am not talking about a DC based HS.

Same evaluator picked girls from their HS on the bmore command team. Just look , you will see.

* NYC / LI experienced an 11% decline in T15 players from 2022 to today while Balto dropped 41% during the same timeframe.

* NYC / LI area experienced a 3% decline in T20 players from 2022 to today while Balto experienced a 32% decline during the same timeframe.

* There are 38% more NYC / LI area players on T20 teams today than Balto area players.

You’re obsessed with your thesis and your stats to support it. Stop spamming threads with it.

Yeah — bummer when facts get in the way of a wishful opinion. And strap in because these same stats will appear every time someone posts about one region being better at lacrosse than another.

Without identifying a kid, were there any clubs that had a girl who crushed the tryout and did not make the team?

Why didn’t all those Heroes girls play for the MD team?
