Could anyone provide any recent reviews/feedback about Discovery Time Learning Center? We're considering an infant spot at the new Hume location. Thanks so much in advance!

We are very pleased and have had a wonderful experience with their program. There are a ton of activities and you get updates throughout the day. We have a 4 year old who just went to the preK class and an infant and have been blown away by the relationship that the teachers have with both of our kids. They just sent a note out this week about openings at their second location and I think they have one or two spots left for most age groups.

We’ve been really happy with our son’s experience from 6 mos on. Some of the strongest and most experienced staff from the current location are moving to the Hume location so you’re in good hands! He’s loved and happy and thriving socially.... they’re constantly introducing new themes and vocabulary. Some things aren’t as streamlined as they might be at other centers where there’s a larger office staff handling paperwork, etc... but we find this is a small trade off for feeling like we’re able to really know all the staff working with our child, give feedback that is acted upon, etc. The curriculum is great and our experience has been that the care is really personalized (example: our kid’s milestones and special interests are well known not just to his teachers but others in the building, if we have a concern about his development or a question it is followed up on, teachers remember to talk to him about things I mentioned offhand during dropoff 3 days ago like a play date or visit from a family member, etc.). I feel like the leadership (owner/Director is very engaged and accessible) has been really intentional about building a community and culture of high expectations with staff members and it shows. They’re relatively new (even the existing location) compared with other options so sometimes policies and things are still being clarified, worked out, or adjusted ... this might be the only occasional gripe but we find changes are usually driven by genuine effort to improve and/or in direct response to feedback. Hope this helps.

Sending my child to Discovery Time was the worst mistake I have ever made as a parent.

I'm not 22:43 but I can say we love it here. We've been at the new school since it opened in September and started in the infant class. Both the baby teachers and current toddler teachers are kind, full of energy, and great with communication. You can definitely tell that they have a genuine love for what they do. I don't have a previous experience to compare to as this is our first child but the school is really well run and I am happy with our daycare decision. I have a friend who has a two year old at their first site who also speaks highly of her experience and actually recommended me to apply last year when they announced the expansion.
