Why does it matter if 1 or 2 sections?

I want to know how large the cohorts are and if it is already going the way of compacted math as many people on this board claim will happen.

You will have to wait a few years for that answer.

The Accelerated Math class is called Advanced Investigations in Math - and only available to 6th graders.

Is it true that the middle schools housing magnets (i.e. Eastern and TPMS) will not be offering these accelerated classes?

I believe that is true, because they already have the courses, and their home population can be in those classes.

Is it pre-algebra? Is everyone who will take 7th grade algebra in it? Or is there another version for kids who will still take algebra in 7th but maybe did not score quite as high?

According to the county letter back in the spring, Takoma was supposed to offer the enriched SS class (the magnet classes are STEM) and Eastern was supposed to offer the enriched math class. Takoma is not offering the enriched Social Studies class. Can anyone provide information as to whether Eastern is offering the math class?

You realize "enrichment" courses at MS are basically non-remedial courses.

I guess you missed the 37 different 80-page threads this spring about the new enriched middle-school classes?
