Petition to bring back SROs

Circulate the petitions to students. Let them decide. They are the ones having to live through this not some Central Office folks and those who don't show up.

Ridiculous how many serious incidents we've had in MCPS this past few weeks alone.

I've never started a petition. Would MCPS/BOE/Elrich even care?

Hmmm...the timing. Around end of Q2 and/or start of Q3.

Not a chance. Student safety is the county’s responsibility. Right now, measures need to be stepped up.

Raise your hand if you believe this is true.

Why didn’t the girl report the gun?

This could have nipped it.

Stop giving the students so much freedom. Adults need to step up and take charge.

Working as it should. Way better than SRO.
The only thing the CEO program is better at is making progressives feel good about themselves.

CRO's have their place but we should have both. Right now there are security guards and one CRO who goes to multiple schools. There should be an SRO at every school, supported by CRO's and security guards and there should be 10-15 security guards at each school.

Do you really want to make kids feel like they're going to school in a prison?

Many of our kids feel unsafe at schools. These measures help keep them safe. Better safe than dead.
