well, we've had several weapons incidents, a stabbing, vaping still happening.. so, not going well. |
How about 'em CEOs huh? |
Working as it should. Way better than SRO. |
The incident at Wootton the other day proves that SROs aren't needed. It's time to move on. |
How is that, exactly? With the former SRO model, SROs were members of the community. They got to know the students, and they were able to form positive relationships with students. (And before you hit with the “school to prison pipeline” argument, SROs initiated 9 arrests in a system of 160,000 students in their last year. Just 9. I don’t think a .00005% arrest rate is much of a pipeline, especially when such arrests are truly warranted.) CEOs exist outside the school community. For all the calls for positive community policing, I find it fascinating that we don’t want that model for our children and teenagers. |
LOL |
Do tell us, what is your method to predict the future? You already know that all incidents will be like the one at Wootten where SRO not needed??? Is that what you're saying? |
I know, right? ![]() |
The Trolls are strong in this thread! |
They used other ways of knowing. |
So glad the CEO program has conclusively shown that SROs aren't necessary. |
This is a lie and i'm not sure why people keep spreading it. |
Because their political agenda is to make schools more like prisons. They want armed guards. They will try to mislead uninformed parents about these issues and pretend SROs were positive when in fact they mostly just bully students and run away when anything dangerous happens. |
Where is the link to the petition to bring back the resource officers or some version of it, NOT the one person floating between 25 schools crap? |
