Did people see the trailer for BTS Seasons Greetings 2022? It puts the members in like alternate universes or something? I was pretty much like … oh this is cool, they look cool. Then j-hope the pirate came up and I was like hmmm ok where is this going all of a sudden. Then we got to whatever Jimin was supposed to be and it’s somehow also 80s, and I’m pretty sure I blacked out and my brain couldn’t even handle Tae and especially JK at the end.

I LOVE bad boy BTS. Jungkook's look in Butter with the dark purple hair had me going crazy, and this is the same vibe. Our international playboys!

That one the left (they did it for Halloween several years back right?) is super funny though. I saw it back when I had no idea who this group was.
I love their music and performances, but I'm coming to realize I am mainly attracted to the way they interact with each other, oftentimes hilarious but at the same time so endearing.

JK in the bunny costume was the Halloween dance practice from 2016. the first one I remember watching at the time was the infamous Go Go Halloween dance practice from 2017 where V lost the rock-paper-scissors game and had to dress in the Snow White costume. Lol.

You have to watch some of their candid videos for that honestly. Even paparazzi pictures are retouched by fansites. I love Kpop for a lot of reasons but the “fan industry” behind the groups is troubling, to say the least. Like members’ skin tones are routinely lightened not just in official pics but also in fan retouching for fansites, which leads to more colorism, which leads to more retouching … this goes for both male and female artists but is worse with girl group members.
