I did love all the wallpaper in that episode.
I love Roman and Jerri, they’re absolutely my favorites. I love that Connor was pitching that the horrible play be hate watched I read that somewhere and I totally agree, if you were trying to pick from the countries that they listed to hide out in, I would not go to Sarajevo or Bosnia, but I would go to one of the many luxury resorts in the Maldives. That was a mess on the Roy clans part. |
| Also, I love that Kendall was trying to hire the PR ladies, but he wouldn’t let them get a word in edgewise. Also, those two New York PR women reminded me of every New York ad agency or young millennial/Gen z I’ve ever met with who works in a creative field. |
| Maldives is pretty far from the action. Europe makes more sense as a place to park. |
They can only go places without an extradition agreement with the US, which thereby excludes most (all?) of Europe. |
The blonde is one half the of the podcast Red Scare and the girls from White Lotus had elements that were clearly based on them. |
I would have chosen Dubai. Not too far from the action and more to do than Sarajevo. |
|
Speaking of 'The White Lotus", I see similarities between Willa and Rachel (the pretty wife who returns to her husband at the end).
They both are very pretty but only semi-smart, and determine that life is just better/easier putting up with a very rich guy than going it alone. |

This show is so great. Loved last night’s episode!
Marcia is gunning for what she wants! |
| Last night's episode had some great one liners from Roman |
| Why is this show so astroturfed. Such obvious fake manufactured hype. It’s corny, contrived and totally cringe — not deep or thought provoking. But I guess it makes sense that 40-something Beltway dorks would like this. Highlight of your week? Dream big kiddo. |
Yeah that was probably the most predictable scene of them all. I heard they originally wanted Isabella Rossellini for that role, and she'd have been great. |
Ha. I just started a thread about this. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one. |
I would have loved to see Isabella Rossellini in the role of Marcia, but I also really like the actress playing Marcia. They would have had to write the Marcia role much bigger/differently for Isabella Rosellini, who is arguably more famous than anyone in the cast. Marcia, like everyone in this show, is in it for Marcia, but even more so for her because it's not intended that she will have a large corporate role. I did love in this episode where you get a better glimpse of what Marcia is after. I feel like the show has done a pretty good job with straddling the line between is Marcia a flat out gold digger, or does Marcia have actual feelings for Logan? I think this last episode answered answered to #1 and the answer to #2 is much more up in the air. The Marcia scene was the highlight of this episode with the donut scene being a distant second. I found most of it boring. The discussion among the siblings whether they "knew" what was going on in the cruise division was interesting. Kendall does seem to have a desire to build something "good." But, the kids are all kind of one dimensional and Shiv's character is the worst in that regard. She needs an arc this season. |
Well, you seem a bit uncreative and one-note, since you posted the same slam, word for word, over on the other thread ("corny, contrived, and totally cringe"). At least try to think of a fresh new way to bash the show! |
