Due to a field shortage all SYC team (the host club) will be dropping out to allow for use of field space by all other outside teams. We still encourage any and all SYC families to volunteer at the tournament. Thanks in advance.

Has to be a joke--that wouldn't make a lick of difference in the fields needed for all of the age groups.

I'm embarrassed for this organizer. NOT a good look right now. What would one DEFINITELY need to have a soccer tournament? Almost everything is optional or replaceable EXCEPT field space.

Everyone thanks for your patience and please remember to stop by the events table throughout the day and take your complimentary turn throwing a pie in the face of Dotty. The hope you enjoy the tournament and sorry we had to make every game short sided fields and 10 minute halves.

Due to field availability shortage, the Virginian Elite will still have 3 games of which games will be of limited duration and subject to discretion of officials may be shortened. Final games, on Memorial Day, will be subject to field availability and discretion of officials, may also be of limited duration and proceed immediately to penalty kick elimination for final placing.

Logo looks ugly and tacky af. But I will buy if we end up champs. That’s all I do at tournaments.

The county doesn’t rescind permits once they are assigned. SYC didn’t secure the necessary permits in time and some of the fields they thought they could use were already reserved.

This is untrue. Permits can absolutely be rescinded if something happens to a field to make it unusable for the intended purpose, or if some other circumstances/event came up that was out of the county's control but that precluded the use of the field at that time.
