I only just now saw this reply - sorry! I work for a bank not headquartered in DC - I just have to travel frequently due to being remote. I was in DC prior to taking the role and was able to negotiate staying here because we do have an office for some government related activity and lobbying (unrelated to my work but means I have a place to go). Now with covid we are even more remote work friendly. |

Me - 30, $120k Fed Analyst (HR-adjacent). Ivy undergrad Psychology & Sociology, Master's HR Mgmt. My undergrad degree helped me get in the door to a GS-5 internship, and grad degree, in addition to mentorship and taking advantage of opportunities, helped with a career ladder into my current position. My education was a privilege for sure as an URM from a disadvantaged SES.
