And he was sending them to me as well—-and planning romantic hotel visits and fancy dinners and spent over $10k on a milestone Bday for me. The love notes and big deal he made for our 20th wedding anniversary, the Inn at Little Washington. He made me a morning latte (every morning and brought it to me in bed) and would buy my favorite coffee beans and leave them with sticky notes with a heart drawn on them. Sexy lingerie, a vibrator. I’m THE WIFE and he did all of those things and grabbing my ass and telling me how hot I was while he carried on screwing some whore off the Internet for almost 4 years a few times a month. He has always loved my feet and would ask for me to send him photos of new pedicure, etc.

Once a month. And sometimes 6-7 weeks in between. He is the first to say her face was awful and if I could post a photo you would see for yourself. But - missing the point anyways. We had sex 4-5 times per week—-and he spent thousands on me. She got nothing. No gifts. No dinners. She got screwed once a month in her own home- stayed 40 min at lunch.

Yes. I read a study that women that cheat are almost always unhappy in their marriage whereas most men report they are happily married. For the women it is usually about an exit affair. Not the men. I’ve read through this thread and what I get from it is when a husband marries an attractive wife who will not have sex with them, he resorts to cheating with a woman the husband maligns and despises (displaced anger and sexual frustration). The attractive wife is the winner here. Add in the fact she has her own career, social network and sense of purpose, both parties understand that the wife does not need a man. The man either appreciates the wife as a partner and they can work out a partnership (presumably including intimacy), or he cheats, etc. and she dismisses him as unworthy of her affection.
