This. He touched Ginny inappropriately and Georgia was molested as a child.

It looked like she was testing him to see if he would creep on the daughter. She told Ginny to get Kenny to help her yoga pose form then left the room. He did just that but moved his hand to far up Ginny’s leg. Georgia watched from the staircase.

My question is, if she wanted to test out his creep factor, she should have done it before getting married. Why bring your kids into the home of a creep, then use them as bait?

She needed his money/life insurance. That was the whole point of his ex-wife working with the private investigator to figure out Georgia's real identity and find a way to get the money back for her/her son.

I'd say minimum 16. The sex talk is explicit.

At 13, I had a row of scars up my arms from cutting, plus a few burns from Bic lighters .
At 14, I was on Lithium and in outpatient treatment for self harm.
At 15, I was on birth control and having sex with my high school boyfriend.
At 16, I was smoking weed with my brother on the way to school and getting blackout drunk on the weekends.
At 17, I moved on to Adderall.
At 18, I was doing coke.
At 21, I graduated from a state school.
At 25, I graduated with my MS from a different state school.
At 30, I was a director in a global corporation.

The content is far more realistic than what most adults want to acknowledge, and it may surprise you what "successful adults" did as teenagers.

Do you really think what you did was typical of a teenager?

1. he looks 30+
2. he gives off a gay vibe - nothing wrong with that, but he's not for Ginny.
3. they have no chemistry. It makes me uncomfortable in the forced kiss scenes.

Especially #3.

The lack of chemistry is intentional. Ginny's true love is Marcus because he's messed up like she is. They get each other. Hunter is perfect on paper but he's not her penguin. But did anyone think this show is so problematic on the way out handles race? Not just Ginny but also Hunter.

Unless he turns out gay, then it’s a bad casting, IMO.

Especially after tap dancing in the hallway.

Yeah he gives off super gay vibes. Bad casting.

I may have missed it, but I couldn't figure out what the deal was with Austin's dad or why Kenny was killed (just the money?).

We don’t know much about Austin’s dad, Gil. Apparently she framed him for embezzlement and he’s in jail.

She didn’t like the way Kenny looked at Ginnie.

Kenny was gross but she could have divorced him and gotten a nice settlement most likely. And wth with the first husband? Just because he was annoying? She loves her kids but is a psycho.

Worse than bad casting.

It was racist and stereotyping the Asian male as not masculine and more feminine.

This is classic racist portrayal of Asian men in American media and for a show that’s trying to be so ‘woke’ it reeks of hypocrisy.

+1 this show is so problematic with race and at the same time pandering to being anti-racist through representation. For the PP who has no idea what we're taking about and has internalized racism of Asian american men and sexuality, read this: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cnn.com/style/amp/andrew-kung-asian-american-men/index.html

Anonymous wrote:My high school years was so not like this and whenever I see movies about high school I always wonder is this the norm or was I just a weirdo in high school? Drugs, sex and drinking and all that in high school?

I think it really depends. I drank throughout high school, smoked weed, and had sex. My friends did other drugs too, which I wasn’t into. I was also a competitive athlete and yearbook editor. There’s a big range. Now I am a pretty low key adult.

When I was in HS, my psycho boyfriend stalked me there. He beat me up in the parking lot once. I skipped school frequently. My friend was expelled for bringing a gun to school. I dropped out and got my G.E.D. without informing my parents (forgery). This was in an UMC area.

Mine was very similar except the kid that brought a gun and had it in his locker all day just there for the whole world to see, he wasn't expelled because he was a really good football player. He was also a deranged headcase. I was also attacked by the jealous ex gf of my abusive boyfriend and my car was vandalized in the parking lot. Lots of weed, some ecstasy, shrooms, and a little acid. I dropped out without anyone noticing or caring. I got my diploma through a program at the Community College when I started taking classes there to pursue my degree. UMC area with very highly rated schools.

Wow! Very similar to me. I'm glad we both made it!

Genuine question, did you guys have involved parents? I have three little kids and watching things like euphoria and this make me terrfied of the next phase

I did drugs, had sex, and even ran away in HS for my 27 year old bf. My parents were very involved. WE had family dinner every night, we were very close. My parents did everything they could (and called the police/FBI on the bf). But I did because it was fun and I was stubborn. That being said, my parents being amazing and always being there for me is 100% the reason why I did eventually pull myself out of it all.

I’m on episode 2 and liking it so far. Maxine is annoying/exhausting. And yes, Georgia’s eyebrows are annoying, but it fits in with her over the top personality. Funny is so pretty; hate that her clothing always seems so bummy.

^^Ginny, not Funny.

Georgia’s eyebrows were just as dark as a teen.

Maxine and her mom (schittz creek lady) have the same over the top expressions. That’s kind of funny.

The two actresses look nothing alike so they had to have the same exaggerated look

Do you mean it is racist stereotyping if his character turns out to be gay? Or do you mean just becaise his character is more effeminate and possibly straight? I’m asking because I don’t feel it’s the character that’s effeminate, but the actual actor. (And he’d be effeminate in any character he plays.) I think it’s just bad casting.
