Um, yes. First episode and I had to explain to my 12 year old what a vibrator is. I’m really open and I guess it was fine. But very unexpected that I would have to explain that then. I expected some sex scenes.

I wish my mother had explained to me what a vibrator is! She never told me about orgasms, or that women should expect them when having sex, that women can give them to themselves without a partner, that women should use them to figure out what they like, what feels good to them, etc. I definitely did things differently with my daughter.

Why?? You figured it out when you were older. There are some things that parents don’t need to explain.


Well for one, much more pleasurable romantic encounters, for two, fewer of them, for three, less (maybe zero) shame about it, four, knowing one of the purposes is pleasure and not just procreation. Surely you can see the value here.
