Predictions on how many TJ applicants there will be this year?

Reality check: FCPS doesn’t manage anything that requires a lot of discretion properly do the idea that they are suddenly going to be able to conduct a “holistic review” of TJ application to select a better qualified class is an exercise that goes beyond wishful thinking into pure cynicism. It will appear better to those who always wanted overt tokenism and little else on full display.

This is actually a really good point. But they were using a largely holistic review process to get from the semifinal cut to the final group anyway.

Yes, that was to keep the class from being 90% Asian. There was a lawsuit over that too (Dr. Cohen from GMU sued FCPS 20 years ago)
