No ODSL for Spring 2021

Coaches fill out multiple preferred days, times and field requests when registering. The field coordinator does their best to accommodate as many requests as possible based on what field permits the club gets from the county and for which days of the week. Full Elite works all practices off of two field sites. One of those sites is also used by the bridge, ODSL and rec teams. It’s a big club and all levels within the club sometimes have to work practices in on a third of field space.

Is this like this at other clubs that serve rec thru ECNL?

B...b...but we’re also ranked higher than the academy teams and they’re stuck up. Have you seen the new Mercedes the director drives and the McMansion in Great Falls he lives in. It’s a money grab!

PP here. I’m not complaining about the set up. Elite has two sites to serve all its players. The rec/volunteer gets to use everything else they get permitted for and it’s a heck of a lot more than just two field locations.

What the difference in Elite vs Composite vs Blue? I can't tell how Composite fits in, unless it's intended to be a "fake" designation in the middle for a tournament where they combine an elite & a blue team? For example - at the ASIST coming up, the 2009/2011/2012 girls are called Elite Academy Elite, but the 2010's are called Elite Academy Composite. All of them have the same coach listed except the 12's (BN). It seems like they're at the same relative level of bracket so presumably it's all the top teams.

Composite usually means they pull from the lower age group pool to supplement the roster for the age group in which the team is competing. e.g. the U9 composite team will include some U8s at the ASIST.

To make BRYC a better club, BN needs to take U8s to U10 teams for U11 games, etc.

On the boys department AF needs to be replaced ASAP. Honestly Things have gone straight down hill for the boys ever since BN went over to the girls teams.

I believe blue and composite are the same thing. It’s basically the second team but part of the Elite/ecnl academy pool. Or blue is the 3rd team and composite is the 2nd team.

What are the boys black considered we are thinking of trying out for the u14 boys bryc

That is a Bridge team. Black and Silver are bridge teams meaning they are volunteer/parent led teams spawned from the Rec coaching pool. Less time and money and less exposure. Most Black and Silver started as ODSL then moved to NCSL. U14 Black B had to take some U13 players this past fall—they got hot by COVID drops and some families moving. I believe their Fall roster was supplemented by some U13s from and ODSL team that couldn’t play because ODSL didn’t operate.

My DS plays on the u14 elite and we had a rough fall. We are thinking of playing for the Black team this spring. DS doesn't start or played a lot with his team. Moving to Black would keep him on the field most of the game. Both play in NCSL only a couple divisions apart.

Where does the elite play? Is that ECNL?

In the older age groups yes—so like once they are U13 and older.

Isn’t u14 ecnl? How is that previous poster saying his u14 elite team is in NCSL?

They could have more than one Elite team (in addition to the Elite Bridge)
